Dr. John D. B. Dockins

Dr. Dockins completed a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery at the University of Missouri – Columbia. Prior to that he completed a surgical residency training program at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Dr. Dockins has extensive experience treating all aspects of morbid obesity and has performed over 200 bariatric procedures and 150 endoscopic procedures within the past year. Dr. Dockins’ clinical interests include the endoscopic management of bariatric surgical problems, new innovations in Minimally Invasive General and Bariatric Surgery, and the optimization of post-operative care for patients. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons. In his free time, Dr. Dockins enjoys basketball, reading, cooking and community service.
