Dr. Yohannes Mahtemework

Dr. Mahtemework was raised in Maryland. He attended The University of Maryland, majoring in Biology. After graduating with a Bachelors degree in Science, he continued his education with a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a General Surgery Residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in New York, and a fellowship in Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at North Shore University Hospital at Syosset, in New York. His special interests are in bariatric surgery. Dr. Mahtmemework is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, American College of Osteopathic Surgeon, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.

Dr. Mahtemework currently resides in Leesburg, Virginia.
