Jan Ford

Jan Ford received her Masters in Counseling from Western Kentucky University and is a VA Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, as well as recently receiving Certification as a Wellness Coach. In the past, Jan has served as the Director of Prince William County’s Domestic Violence Program for 4 years and also worked as an inpatient and outpatient mental health therapist for 12 years. For the past 6 years, she has been employed by Potomac Hospital as the New Hire Support Coordinator, working primarily with the Nursing Department. Jan’s background in treating addictive behaviors and wellness coaching provides a unique combination approach to addressing the need for the behavior changes required in the recovery process from bariatric surgery. She developed the B. Balanced program as an on-going group process that helps individuals navigate through their aftercare challenges.
