Amy Barnes, M.S., C.P.T., C.N.S.

As a fitness professional and a mother of two, Amy understands firsthand the challenges of balancing healthy habits with the demands of a busy life. It is hard to find time to get in shape and it’s even harder to find the motivation to stay in shape. Fitness was not always a part of Amy’s life, just four and half years ago; she weighed in at a mere 487lbs and 52%BMI. As a mom with two very active boys, she knew that they needed her to be healthy. It was time for Amy to change her life. Amy decided she had to make it a revolutionary life change. To date, Amy has LOST 340lbs. There were so many times Amy was tired, weak and frustrated, but knew she couldn’t give up. Amy knows if she can do it, anyone can.

Amy began Inside & O.U.T. Fitness, LLC to help people like herself overcome the fears of exercise. Although weight loss surgery was not an option for Amy, she is proud to work here at Bluepoint Surgical Group. Amy’s support and motivation is an invaluable asset to our patients undergoing weight loss surgery. Amy is also a lifestyle and fitness coach offering personal training, nutritional consulting and motivational speaking. Her goal is to inspire people to take action and get moving! Amy has recently developed a fitness program for Bluepoint Surgical Group, and has regular office hours for fitness consultations. In addition Amy teaches fitness classes for Bluepoint every week.
